Good book on Java and Servlets
What is a good book to start learning Java and Sevrelts programming. I was looking at "Learning Java" and "Java Servlet Programming, 2nd Edition" both from O'Reilly. Theire Reader Reviews section praises both of them.
Does anyone has any idea about these books?? Or any other??? I would be really thankefull... |

I liked "How to Program - Java" from Deitel & Deitel, Prentice Hall, which does have a servlet chapter, but isn't completely focused on them. Great book to learn Java in general though.
The O' Reilly books generally are pretty good as well, although I haven't read the ones you mentioned. g'luck. |

Try this one: Core Servlets and Java Server Page,
by Marty Hall. Did the trick for me, and the book is produced by Sun Microsystems, the people who invented java ![]()
