    Smile Where are javax.* packages?

I need to use javax.* packages, like javax.mail, javax.servlet. But I'm not sure where to find them.

Are they part of the standard J2SE API, or do I need to download and install them?

Thank you very much for your help!

The javax packages are located in the servlet.jar file. This jar should be added to your classpath. Servlet technology is now handled by jakarta, not Sun.

JavaMail is NOT included in this package & must be downloaded seperatedly from Sun at http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/index.html Alos note you must have the activation.jar (from the bean development api) to use javamail..

You can get servlet.jar from sun's J2EE download. If you're using an application server (such as tomcat), it should come with servlet.jar, though.
