    Mouse Over Text Descr...

    Sorry, not quite sure how to describe what I'm looking for, but I'm making a website, and on the front page, I need a clever bit of code that changes text dependant on where the mouse is on an image.

    So, say you had an image which included 5 different pictures. Whenever the mouse rolled over one of the images, a text description would appear underneath the image corresponding to the picture your mouse was on.

    So there would be 1 text description for each picture.
    Any ideas on how I can accomplish this??

    ------

    Oops, sorry, I think I should have posted this in the Javascript, DHTML forum...

    i think u r askin abt tooltip property...for images if u sepcify a text in the alt attribute u will get a tooltip automatically
    <img src="" alt="My image">

    and for anchor
    <A HREF="" TITLE="What's new?" >What's new?</A>

    best wishes,

    hmm i beleive i know sortof what you want. this bit of code will make a mouseover where when you click on the word or words assigned to it it will change the picture to whatever ou want.

    <img src="pic1.bmp" name="ImgSwap3">
    <a href="#"
    onMouseOver="document.ImgSwap3.src='pic2.bmp';">

    One more question :

    Does onMouseOver="" accept only link or even an action ?
    Thanks
