Maybe I haven't been keeping up with the times but I've just read an article about C#. An alternative cross platform/OS language that they (MS) is claiming is more ECMA standards compliant than Java. Here's the article: http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/...-iw-csharp.html

Just wondering what others are thinking. Substance or MS marketing?

Um... ECMA Script is a JavaScript standard, not Java. The two are completely different things.

Correct, but ECMA Script isn't what I'm talking about.
ECMA is a standards body from which Sun withdrew JAVA from consideration because the ECMA would assert control over the future development of JAVA. In contrast the ECMA will control the development of C#. Has anybody played with this C# sharp yet?
