Re-direct to homepage on initial visit per session
Lately, I have considered the possible attractiveness of having people enter my site at the beginning of a new session through the homepage as opposed to "bookmarking" a particular page on the site.
From viewing my site statistics, most people are entering directly via my message board. In so doing, they "miss" announcements and sponsors on the homepage. A friend has a java script on all his pages which direct viewers to the homepage when they make their entry into the site. My site has several hundred static pages as well as the pages generated by phpBB. Is there a fairly painless way to accomplish this without having to place the script on each of the existent pages? Thank you in advance, Joel |

Just add an external js that checks for a cookie if it doesnt exist then redirect the user to the homepage.
Some things dont have to be complicated. |
