Running JSP files....Help needed.....

I am starting to learn JSP, I have downloaded an example from this website: http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/...forms/Forms.ZIP

I have got tomcat, version 4.1.18 and it is working. The problem is that I do not know how to run the example that I downloaded. Could anyone please help.....

as servlet and jsp technology is pretty tricky u should get yourself a book about that. there´s a tutorial u can download at
http://java.sun.com
about jwsdp (javawebservicesdevelopmentpack) including tomcat, servlet and jsp
u can have a look at that online, too
cheers, jens

Well, first off, I'd suggest starting with a simpler example than the one you downloaded. There are some decent jsp tutorials on devshed.com.

I wouldn't worry about not being able to install that example. It's not a very good one. Whoever packaged it up was, umm..., not thinking clearly.

You might also want to have a look at the examples that come with tomcat (the examples folder). There's some interesting stuff in there.
