Hi All,

Does anyone know how to make a .zip file self-extracting?
i.e. Browser downloads .zip file from site nad it automatically unzips when download complete?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Clive.

The licensed version of winzip allows you to make a self extracting zip file which has a .exe extension. This allows unzipping of the file without any zip software installed.

The shareware version doesn't have the 'make exe' feature.

So buying a copy of winzip and running the zip from download will give you the results you want although it involves spending money!
