    setting up jsp environment

    Hi Folks:

I am trying to set up a JSP development environment on my laptop. I am running Windows 98. Can someone tell me how to do this, and if it is possible. I am willing to try any method. I am running PWS and BadBlue web servers at the moment. May be I can link JSP to PWS or something? I am open to any suggestions. I have already tried configuring Apache Tomcat, but it fails to recognize the .jsp extension. I have tried to get Apache to recognize the .php extension earlier, but it also failed. Then I downloaded BadBlue and the .php extension was successfully recognized. It seems as though Windows 98 on my laptop has a problem with Apache products. So if you are kind enough to send me a procedure to get JSP up and running on my laptop and it involves installing Apache Tomcat, please offer a suggestion why it failed to recognize the .jsp and .php (for just the regular apache web server) extensions earlier. I still haven't figured it out.

Thank you very much for your help,

    Valen

See if the following link can assist you with Tomcat on 98 systems.
