Socket Exception

When i tried to interrupt the server by pressing the stop button of the browser or with another request(before the first one being processed) i get a socketException in the server.. i guess it's thrown by the server. But the problem is that as i don't know how to handle tthe situation, the browser is showing a loading state for a long time.
pls help me in solving the pblm
