startup problem with Tomcat 4.1

Hello All,

I installed Tomcat 4.1 on my W2K machine. It works fine when I start it from the startup menu (Programs -> Apache Tomcat 4.1 -> Start Tomcat). I have tried some JSPs and they are working fine.

However, if I start it from command prompt (C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Tomcat 4.1\bin>startup). I recieve the following error and it does not run.

"Cannot find the file '-Djava.endorsed.dirs=' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available."

I am puzzled why is it so. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
