Struts

How would you define struts in a thorough and detailed statement? I just can't seem to define it just right?

First of all, the proper way for using struts is to use the readily available factory methods...

for example just type:

add(Box.createHorizontalStrut(5)); <== to create a 5pixel wide strut and add directly to ur container...
