Text files into linked lists

Hi all, this is my first post to the forum. I'm a beginner in Java so I have quite a few questions, I'm afraid! This is the first, anyway...

How can I read words from a text file and create each word as a seperate item in the linked list? Also, would this be the best way to go about sorting a text file into alphabetical order?
