Red face Virtual directories case sensitive?

    I deployed my application as:

    http://localhost:9000/manager/instal...&war=jar:file: c:/Program Files/Apache Tomcat 4.0/webapps /myProject.war!/

Then the URL to access it is:
    http://www.sth.com:9000/abc/xyz/whatever.jsp

But the "abc" and "xyz" are case sensitive, I mean, if I try
    http://www.sth.com:9000/Abc/Xyz/whatever.jsp, then it won't work.

Of course I can deploy the application more than once with different combinations of upper and lower case letters, but it is too much when the virtual directories are long.

Anybody has a better idea to make it case INSENSITIVE? Thanks a lot.

Unless tomcat has some sort of configuration variable, no. Most websites are case-sensitive; it's only Microsoft products that aren't. Why does it need to be case insensitive?
