How To Setup JSP In Windows

    Hello,

I'm a brand new JSP dev. and I was wondering how to run JSP on Windows. I have Apache, but does JSP perform top-notch on apache?

    Thanks,

You'll need a servlet engine that supports the jsp spec. I'd recommend Apache Tomcat 4.1.x. Here's the latest release: http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/packages/...cat-4.1.24.exe

For more information you can check out the tomcat homepage: http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/

The install is very simple, and if you're running NT or 2000 you can install the NT service so the server will run automatically every time your computer starts. Once you have it going there are a bunch of examples you can look at to learn how jsps work.

Tomcat is a very good App Server, so you shouldn't have any performance problems.
