    how to call a secure jsp

    hi all ,

    I configured my Tomcat to listen on 8443(https).But as I am not willing to call my whole application using https,I want the secure communication for some specific pages.Is there any easy way where i can configure in web.xml or i have to call that specific page redirecting it to the secure communication.

    I tried this , but it is not working
    <jsp:include file="https//localhost:8443/IS_Project/jsp/login.jsp">

    I really appreciate any kind of advice.

    https is generally port 443, not 8443. If you use this port and then just use https in the url, it should request on port 443 by default and you won't have to worry about putting the port in the url. You could try that.

    Also, you have a typo in your include. Not sure if that is a copy from your code or you rewrote it and just typoed it then
    Code:
    <jsp:include file="https//localhost:8443/IS_Project/jsp/login.jsp">

    should be

    <jsp:include file="https://localhost:8443/IS_Project/jsp/login.jsp">
    If it truly is a typo in your jsp, then that may be all that is wrong.
