unfortunately, the DHTML ocx that microsoft puts out does not create code that is cross browser compliant. In attempt to modify certain components as they are dropped into my page, the ocx strips off code that I explicitly put in.

Specifically, I need the <Object> tag to have an innerHTML of a <PARAM> tag and an <EMBED> tag. The embed tag goes in fine, the param tag gets stripped out.

any help is appreciated
