    how do you disable javascript?

    Hi
    I have a website at:
    http://www.catalysys.co.uk

I have had good feedback from most clients but one guy using IE5 has said he cannot see the orange strip with the navigation buttons. Is this because this strip was done in Fireworks and it utilises javascript. I was wondering if he has javascript disabled (not possible to contact this person direct to ask). I use IE6 and thought I could find a checkbox for disabling javascript by - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced Tab but there is no checkbox for disabling javascript, so where to look for this please?
If that is the problem, do I simply put a list of navigation links between a pair of <no script> </no script> tags (are those the correct tags?)
    thanks for any help

try Internet Options>Security>Custom>Scripting>Active Scripting> set to disable.
