    does anyone know how can I write this using Netscape 4.7 :

    function Allowfields()
    {

    document.Form1.field1.disabled=false;
    document.Form1.field2.disabled=true;
    }

    This works perfectly under IE5 and not in Netscape...

    Thanks

    Well, I dunno about the 'disabled' property, but here is the Netscape JS reference for text objects:

    One ad-hoc way top disable a text field is to do the following:

    <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica">code:</font><HR><pre><input type=text onFocus="this.blur()">[/code]

    This seems to work fine in NS4.72 (win).

    So, rather than blur the focus everytime as above, make it so that it calls a function to test whether that field should be enabled.
