re
ok i have put that in, i put the css for the images as
Code:
/* background pics */
#ryan_1 {
position: absolute;
margin-left: 0;
}
#ryan_2 {
position: absolute;
margin-left: 100%;
}
#ryan_3 {
position: absolute;
margin-left: 100%;
}
i put margin-left 100% because that is how i have sized the div the images are in.. i also left this in the a:link Code:
<li><a class="trigger" rel="#header-6" onclick="return toggle_div('home-video');" href="#">Home</a></li>
I also changed one of the lefts in the js to right when it loads i see the first image and when i click any link i can see the 3 images scroll across the screen but they dont stop and it goes to a white bg. i presume i have to ad something to my onclick here so for each click it knows what id to show? you can see whats happening at ryanspeaks.designpilotdemosDOTcom |

yeah sorry perkins, the function takes two attributes... so you would put return toggle_div('home-video', 'ryan_1')
i think.. if thats the id of the div

you can see i have put in the second attribute in the onclick but when i click it just scrolls through the pictures and ends on the last one. Code:
// show hidden divs one at a time
function toggle_div(div_id){
var div = $('#' + div_id);
var divs = $('#main-nav').find('.hidden-divs').not(div);
if (div.css('display') == 'none') {
divs.slideUp(function(){
div.slideDown();
});
} else {
div.slideUp();
}
//now for the images
var ryan_slide_width = $("#ryan_slide").width();
$("#ryan_slide img").animate({"right": ryan_slide_width}, 600);
$('#' + image_id).animate({"right": "0"}, 600);
}
i am unsure of why this is happening |

ok i have put the image_id in the toggle div, it is working to some degree. if you look at ryanspeaks.designpilotdemosDOTcom you can it loads the home picture fine and when you click home it slides the apporiate picture in. for the rest it just stays white?
I have set the images in css to absolute, width 100%. Code:
<div id="ryan_slide" class="pics"> <img class="" id="ryan_1" src="images/ryan1.jpg" alt="Ryan Porter" /> <img class="" id="ryan_2" src="images/ryan2.jpg" alt="Ryan Porter" /> <img class="" id="ryan_3" src="images/ryan3.jpg" alt="Ryan Porter" /> <img class="" id="ryan_4" src="images/ryan1.jpg" alt="Ryan Porter" /> <img class="" id="ryan_5" src="images/ryan2.jpg" alt="Ryan Porter" /> <img class="" id="ryan_6" src="images/ryan3.jpg" alt="Ryan Porter" /> </div> Code:
