Getting passed URL parameters from Javascript.

Hello Everyone,

Once you pass a parameter by calling a webpage like this:
"myPage.htm?param=value"
How can you access its value just using Javascript from within "myPage.htm"?
I can not use PHP or any CGI, because my server does not allow it.
If this is not possible, is there any other way?
