Input type text to input type password?

Hello to all,

first time poster and javascript noob, so please don't be too harsh

I have just seen a page on a website that has a form with an input that switches between type text to type password whenever you click on it. I want the same on my personal website.

I guess this is achieved with javascript but how is it done? I can't fiugre it out as I'm a complete beginner with javascript.
