cheap and easy

if both movies have the same dimensions, i'd say a really cheap (as in the "penny in the fuse box" sense) solution is to load a stub movie with just one movieclip instance in it that loads into it the first movie...then use doFScommand, which is a javascript function for controlling movies, to call loadMovie with the addy of the new movie to change your target instance to...did that make sense? if no, i'll give ya a better description...rob
