    Question javascript error (warning) help

    This function:

    function openWin() {
    var newWind = window.open("test2.html", "", "status=yes, width=400,height=400");
    }

    produces this warning NINE times:

    Warning: reference to undefined property this.parentNode.updateCurrentBrowser

    but the browser completes the operation successfully. Any idea what is causing the error?

    have you tried on the onerror=null?

    and that seriously doesn't look to be the problem... are there any other scripts on the page?
    You know your a web programmer when you see a '$' and think of PHP rather than money.

    I don't know anything about onerror=null. What should that do? That *is* the only script on the page. It opens another page (duh!) which initially has no scripts either. Just incase you were wondering. I'm a mostly-newbie with javascript. I see your a PHP guy - me too. In fact most of the page is php.
