    Question Javascript idle timer

    Hi all,

Is it possible to have a Javascript idle timer? As in, if the user has not brought the window into focus or done something in the browser window for 3 minutes then refresh the page?

I would like to implement it but don't want it to refresh the page if they are, for instance, in the middle of writing a message in our forum (for more than 3 minutes) because if it refreshed, it would wipe their message which would naturally be very annoying...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Well, obviously there isnt a script to sense if someone is reading something or not... you could have your window open and not touch the keyboard or mouse while you're reading something, and this would register as idle time. I don't think it would ever work.
