Question Javascript marquee that works also in older browsers?

Is it possible to build a javascript marquee (on a "plain" surface, not in a text box) that would work in older borwsers also? Preferably at least NS and MSIE v3.

Another question: Where cain I find MSIE v3 for download?

I haven't tested any of my code on IE3.x in some time, so I can't help with that. However, if you really feel compelled to download IE3, Tucows has it. For Windows 95, you can find it at:

    Good luck.

Thanks. Because this new little feature is to be seen on a very popular web site's (the top one in my country) frontpage, the code must be thoroughly tested.

Dang. It's perfectly understandable, although not acceptable, that you cannot install even two different versions of MSIE on your machine. Pain in developers ***...

It seems that the only option is to figure out what browsers do and don't support marquees properly, and build it so that, even if disabled, the page doesn't look too crappy.
