Unhappy Jsp to Javascript

Hi All,
Is there a way that i can pass a variable from JSP to Javascript?

Actually, I'm planning to do a dynamic menu based on the valued i get from the database..... I don't have any clue to start with... Any help????

Yes, you can use JSP variables within JavaScript code... (Using JavaScript Variables within JSP is a bit more challenging)... Just how JSP Produces HTML code it can also produce JavaScript... You can write all of your JavaScript out within the JSP or open and close the JSP... It really depends on your comfort level with JavaScript...
