    Question mailing with javascript


    hi

    I was wondering how to go about mailing the information from a form to a designated e-mail address using JavaScript.

    Is there something similar to the mail() function in PHP? Anyway of doing it is fine. Also I've never used a form to do this but how would you parse the form variables to the mail client using mailto:?

    So you don't want to use PHP but want to use JavaScript?

    Not a recommended technique, as it puts you entirely at the mercy of your users' mail client (if they have one); this generally includes annoying dialogs in Internet Explorer. Server-side handling is much more versatile - and secure. Anyway:
