Trying to create a simple market price widget

I'm trying to replicate my iGoogle account on another site. I've got all my RSS and other content working on ProtoPage.com, but they dont have any gadget that will provide me with market index prices (DOW, S&P, NASDAQ).

ProtoPage has a developers area to create your own java script widget. I'm just looking to create a 3x3 grid with index name, current (or delayed) price, and a little graphic arrow to reflect the price change (similar to yahoo finance)

Not sure how to get started writing this

I'm not even sure where to post this, so even if you dont have an answer to my question, but you have a better idea of a forum to post this in I would appreciate it.

You could get each of there stock feeds, from the following links:

    http://www.nasdaq.com/services/rss.aspx
    http://www.dowjones.com/newstoprofitby/rss.aspx
    http://www.spindices.com/rss/

From these feeds; you could scrape the stock data from each feed (with a server side language, like: PHP, ASP, JSP and etc. - you would basically create a proxy from your website, to get this data). Then you could format the data, that you scraped from each of these feeds and display them within any page of your choosing (within your website and via iframe or javascript on other peoples websites).
