Talking What type of element is...

What type of element is like a I believe it's called HTML DOM element, like "html" or "body" in javascript? Is it just object? I'm trying to extend all elements that use "appendChild", "removeChild", etc. to use for instance "aC" instead of "appendChild" and I'm wondering if extending Object is the best way to do it, like because then of course I would have Objects that don't use appendChild with "aC" functions defined for them.

These links maybe helpful to you:

Basically..., DOM can access any tag within the document, in some way, every tag has a way of being manipulated by JavaScript using DOM.
