Question

Question: How does one implement JSP technology to do the same stuff that JavaScript would do such as populating fields of shipping address information with previously inputed address information when they mark a checkbox that says "shipping address is the same as above address"? Does one use a behavior such as "onChange" or "onClick" to call the JSP stuff just like you would client-side JavaScript?

It is not possible becuase the JSP works in server side so it has to go to the server for next request processing.you may need to use JavaScript for that action.

thanks!

That is what I thought! We are endeavoring to implement a Java enterprise web application and I've noticed that many JSP-based sites, such as delta.com or ford.com have cool manipulation of their forms and document elements. when i've done a view source i have not seen anything referring to a javascript source so I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks again!
