Arrow Javascript drop-down menu and frames

I've got a javascript drop-down menu created in Fireworks MX (quick, easy and the boss told me to use it). The problem is its really dragging the page's load time with it's rendering.

Now I've seen some drop-down menus that have gone over frames, anyone know how to do this?

My idea is to load the menu into the frame only once then have it update another frame.

If it is of use I can post sample code on what I wish to do.

    Any help appreciated!

Ok I've managed to find a tutorial which has allowed me to put the drop down menu into frames. I went to the macromedia's forums

Trouble is I still have a large down load time. The client and my boss want it lowered but still want to use javascript.

I've got a three tier drop down menu with 100+ options. Anyone know a quick rendering piece of code for a menu of this size?

    Any help greatly appreciated.
