    Multilingua support in JavaScript

    Hi All,
I am trying to display JavaScript alert in Japanese characters on english locale machine. But it is showing garbage characters in place of showing Japanese characters. Is there any way to show multilingual messages using alert()?

    Thanks in advance!

I recently developed a Japanese page on an American English computer system (having to use #nnnnn; for each Japanese character). I have not tried this, yet, but I think it will work. At the bottom of your form put a lot of hidden fields, naming them alert1, alert2, alert3, etc. Then set a variable at the start of your validation df = document.(formname); and use df.alert1.value, etc, for each error. In each hidden field have the value set to all of the #nnnnn; required for the message. Let me know how this works, as I have not yet tried it. 5pam_h8r(at)lawyer.com
