Basics ldap
hi,
i am new to ldap. our project is going to implement Ldap.
i have the follwng doubts:
actually, what is client in ldap?
which client is best?
because we are going to use sun solaris10. if any body know plz help me asap.

That would depend, what's your OS? What type of work are you expecting to be doing with it? My company bought the LDAP Administrator, and so far it's farily good, some bugs but what product doesn't .

If you want free/OS ones there are some out there some good others not so good.

A great resource...
I'm pretty partial to using Wikipedia to get a good start in a new area. For ldap, try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ldap

It's a good start and contains a listing of popular LDAP servers and clients.
