How to create a uid with the attribute mail?

Hi there

I'm working with OpenLDAP 2.1.22-8.

Has somebody got experiences how to create a 'uid' and add them the attribute 'mail'?

I'm just able to configure a 'cn' with the 'mail' attribute.
