ldap authentication failure

Hi,

I am using the iplanet LDAP server with bdb. The ldap directory allows annonymous searches but only the uid=_ldap_maint and uid=administrator can make additions the ldap database.
I cant make additions to the database even when i bind as the _ldap_maint with the right password. I checked and realised that the password has changed. How it happned i dont know. So now how can i reset the _ldap_maint password. Or if i cant then can i add another user who has privileges to add the entries.

So please advice hwo to cahnge the password or else add a new user who has priviliges to add entries
