linux and solaris
hello we have a solaris 9 server running Directory Services and a linux machine with rh9. it seems that ldap on solaris is running normally (checked with jxplorer). The question is: how can i join the linux machine to the solaris domain?

It's very simple - more simple than for UNIX:
1. Add the entry for the host in the LDAP server. 2. Edit the /etc/ldap.conf to point to your LDAP servers. 3. Edit /etc/nsswitch.conf as needed. 4. Reboot That should do it ... Best of luck |
