register ldap protocol

Hi,

just having started working with Linux (suse 8.0) and ldap, a possibly very stupid question:

When I enter ldap:// <url> in my browser url field (netscape 7.1), I always get the message:
'ldap is not a registered protocol'

Do I have to edit the configuration file or something about the browser? The ldap-server is running and working fine though.

And when I try it from another computer, the browser always opens the address book - but I am not setting up an address book with the ldap-server.

Any ideas?

It has the code to do it - but I guess it still isn't on by default. I think you have to recompile the browser --enable-ldap option ...
