LDAP to create pub-sub data model

I am very new to LDAP, basically I just have a very basic idea of LDAP which I had when researching for the question I am asking.

What I know is that LDAP is used to store directory info and it stores it in form of tree, so it's a hierarchical data.

Now, I am trying to figure out a possibility to use LDAP to store a data for an application which is based on PUB-SUB model.
For ex: there will be few publisher who will publish some info and subscribers will subscribe to that. Publishers can be subscribers too and vice versa.

As per my limited understanding I believe it is not possible to model this type of data in LDAP but I want to confirm this from the experts over here.

Also, if this is possible please help me out how.

    Thanks

    EDIT

I more thing I need to mention that everyone is not subscribing to everyone, which means I need to keep track of the subscribers to a particular publisher.
