Hi,
I am new to LDAP. can anyone pls give hints regarding developing an application that can support existing directories and can update automatically when the contents of directory change. i.e. the LDAP directory acts as a black box. Thanx |

I am a tad hesitant to answer this - but you should be able to develop an application to do what you desire. This application could be coded in any number of languages - most of the major coding languages have modules or packages for LDAP. I will defer to experinced coders on what you may wish to use.
Once you have decided on the language you would need to ensure that you connect to the directory with the appropriate level of credentials - and given your somewhat vague requirements - retrieve information on a scheduled basis. I don't think this really answers any question in particular - but I am not sure a particular question was asked. If you were looking for something else - just try to clarify it a little .... -Chris |
