    IS there anyway to output french characters via ldifde. The character set is entirely different it seems. Is there anyway I can force UTF-8 ? or ISSO-8559-1 etc....

    Cheers

    I believe if you encode the char it should work ie.

    English LDIF
    dn: dc=my, dc=domain
    user: me
    email: me@my.domain.com

    Another character set
    dn: dc=my, dc=domain
    user:: bWU=
    email:: bWVAbXkuZG9tYWluLmNvbQ==

    (encoding here is BASE64)
