Auto-mount Windows Harddrive
Hi! I always mount my harddrive everytime I startup linux. I use:
mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/dosdrive I have 2 harddrive, drive 1 has 2 partition for windows XP, and drive 2 is purely linux. hda1 is main partition for my windows hda2 is the second partition of my windows. hdb is my linux drive. How can I make linux detect my windows drive (hda1 & hda2) so everytime I startup it will automatically mount hda1 & hda2? Thanks ![]() |

You need to edit your /etc/fstab file which is the config file for mounting your partitions. There should be some good info in the man page for fstab.
