BRU installation problem
hi guy,
I'm installing BRU well trying to install the latest version of BRU on RedHat 9.0. everyhting is being detected by linux, my scsi card and my tape drive. but when I run the install.sh command I'm getting this error message INSTALLATION OR UPDATE --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Install BRU-Pro tape server (Note: Overwrites any existing BRU-Pro Installation) 2. Update BRU-Pro tape server (Note: Updates agent and control console too) Q. Quit ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation Option: 1 Installing files... Initializing BRU-Pro ConfigExpress(tm) =========================INSTALLATION ABORTED============================ BRU-Pro was unable to locate any SCSI devices. You need to add the appropriate 'modprobe' or 'ismod' commands to your system startup in order to load your SCSI driver and 'st' and 'sg' drivers prior to install. The module auto-loader, as used on Red Hat Linux or Mandrake Linux, is *NOT* sufficient for BRU-Pro since the constant SCSI bus resets caused by kerneld unloading and reloading the drivers will cause havoc with the library control subsystem). Aborting due to misconfigured SCSI subsystem. any ideas why? thank you! |
