Cannot install glibc-2.2.4-29 on Red Hat 6.7
Hello,
I have the following packages which I need to install to ensure that ColdFusion MX runs correctly on my Red Hat 6.7 box. glibc-2.2.4-29.i386.rpm glibc-common-2.2.4-29.i386.rpm glibc-devel-2.2.4-29.i386.rpm glibc-profile-2.2.4-29.i386.rpm However, when I try to rpm -Uvh *.rpm I get: error: failed dependencies: kernel-headers is needed by glibc-devel-2.2.4-29 kernel-headers >= 2.2.1 is needed by glibc-devel-2.2.4-29 Can anybody tell me why this is happening, and how I can get these latest versions installed. Thanks!! |

Install the kernel-headers package!!
I didn't realize there was a Red Hat 6.7. Are you sure that's right? Why don't you upgrade to 7.x? That's my suggestion because it can get hairy using new packages on old releases. You'll run into RPM HELL. |
