Cant find my eth port by terminal

    Hello Everybody,

I am using RedHat for expriment, there is a simple problem I am having now is I can not find my ethernet port when I try to execute my following command

    #ifconfig

I am sure that my ethernet port is alright because just few days ago i have removed my windows from it, and it used to be connected with net.

    Thanks in advance.

run the lspci command and see if your ethernet is listed.

when I ran #lspci I have seen a lots of informaiton but i guess one of them could be important for me which is

Ethernet Controller: Accton Technology Corporation SMC2-1211TX (rev 10)

so it seems that it found my ethernet port but how can i see it?

well it seems if i run this command then sometimetime it works and it got lost again once i reboot.
    Code:
    #ifconfig eth0 up
