    Changing the root and sftp password of WHM

    Hello;

    I use the IP address and a main password to login to main WHM account ( and also the same password via SFTP as well and manage files).

    Now changed the root password and cpanel now works only with the updated password BUT I can still use the old password to connect via SFTP!

    How can I change the sftp account in WHM password so the old one cant be used anymore?

    Thanks

    What does this have to do with PHP? This looks like an OS question to me.

    I have no idea how to change it from WHM, but probably if you log into the account over SSH and use the passwd command you can change it.
