hi,
firstly, before mentioning about the combination process, it should be better to give some info. about theses hdas /dev/hda3 format: ext3 data urgency: very important /dev/hda4 format: fat32 data urgency: no urgency the process that i want to make is /dev/hda3 (ext3) + /dev/hda4 (fat32) = /dev/hda3 (ext3) i want to add some more space to hda3 from hda4 with protecting data in /dev/hda3 i hope i succeded to explain my problem, best regards... |

Does Partition Magic support ext3 (I know it supports ext2 but not reiserfs though)?
If it does that, you should be able to use it. Dunno about the smilar tool for Linux either. Otherways you'll have to backup and wipe the partitions... //NoXcuz

be careful when using partitionmagic, backup first cause it destroyed my linux partition when i was working with it before - it thought that there was a damaged partition and asked could if fix the problem.
