Unhappy combining partitions

hi,

firstly, before mentioning about the combination process, it should be better to give some info. about theses hdas

/dev/hda3
format: ext3
data urgency: very important

/dev/hda4
format: fat32
data urgency: no urgency

the process that i want to make is

/dev/hda3 (ext3) + /dev/hda4 (fat32) = /dev/hda3 (ext3)

i want to add some more space to hda3 from hda4 with protecting data in /dev/hda3

i hope i succeded to explain my problem,

best regards...

Does Partition Magic support ext3 (I know it supports ext2 but not reiserfs though)?
If it does that, you should be able to use it. Dunno about the smilar tool for Linux either. Otherways you'll have to backup and wipe the partitions...
