Question connecting to Linux box from Mac on a network

    Hi All,
I am trying to connect to a iMac running MacOS 9.1 to a Linux box running RH7.0. These two are indipendently connected to a common ethernet based LAN. What are the possible methods of going about it? Any leads would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

When you say connect do you mean (login, transfer files, have an X session)?

    You can use NFS
You can use ssh or telnet
for X you can export your $DISPLAY
    FTP

A little more description of what your wanting to accomplish would help.

    Hi,
Thank you for the replies. By connect i mean, i should be able to see it in the Mac's Network Browser and i can login into it. The linux box has the appletalk protocol loaded and i can see all the other machines in its vicinity (besides it). So we are a little bit confused about the cause. I hope this helped. I can telnet to the Linux machine from the Mac.

    Thanks

    DD
