console after dial-up???
hi, i have a problem with my internet conection...
when i use windows i have to enable "show terminal window" after dial-up to enter my user/password. when i enter this info i just hit continue and the terminal window disappears. the thing is, i don't know how to do this in linux, i have redhat 8.0, i've tried minicom, wvdial and kppp. how do i bring a terminal window to enter my user/pass and then just close it and start browsing...??? i tried with minicom but once authentication is done it keeps displayin some weird characters, and after a while the conection just dies. can someone help me here please??? |
