Copy all mp3s from multiple directories

i want to copy alll my .mp3s to a single directory, they are in a cluster hell of folders from artist, genre, etc. not organized found a program to help but i want to start with no folders just the songs and art work. i use fedora.

change directory to the place you want the mp3 files.

Then command

find / -name '*.mp3' -exec mv {} . \;


Probably (much) faster if you use locate. Ha ha this might worki:

$ sudo updatedb
$ mv $( locate mp3|gawk '/mp3$/' ) .
