Debian, Keyboard not working

Hi

I've just installed debian on my computer. I reset the computer and KDE opened up, but my keyboard is off. When linux is loading at the start I can use the keyboard, but once KDE has loaded, the keyboard is off. This is my first attempt at using linux and so I have no idea what I'm doing. Any help would be great, thanks

I'm quite new myself so this might now be the best advice but maybe you'll be able to do something with it till the experts arrive

In your XF86Config file (/etc/X11/...something..) there's a section for input devices, one of them the keyboard... you could have a look there (1- If it's there, 2- If there's something strange in there).. If you don't see anything special and don't know what to do you could post the relevant part here, along with the type of keyboard you have and any errors you may encounter ('keyboard not found' or whatever)

Hope this helps! (doubt it but who knows )
